EVERY VOTE COUNTS TO HELP THE GREYHOUNDS

VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE ON- Please help 'Greyhound Rescue Fife' in Scotland to obtain a grant to have a pipeline for water laid underground to their kennels to avoid future frozen pipes- many votes needed NOW please before it's too late and they lose! THE GREYHOUNDS NEED YOUR VOTE TODAY!

IMPORTANT UPDATE

have received this rather despondant email from Jimmy regarding the voting on the RBS website. Ever since the wonderful response from your email appeal they have been top of the list by far, but now another group has come up with hundreds of votes overnight. I'm sure GRF should still be in the top three but if as Jimmy says some of the other contenders do the same they may lose after all.

Do you think it would be useful Helen to ask your group again if they can use a different email address and vote once more? It might just swing the balance yet again. This is the email that Jimmy has sent to me. Thanks Helen.

Best wishes
John

We are no longer leading in the RBS competition. Yesterday we had 645 votes and Riding for Disabled were 7th with 123 votes. Today we have 663 votes and Riding for Disabled 865 votes. They've come up 742 votes overnight. How on earth ? If they can do it so can others and we've no chance. We must end up in the first three. Do you have any more contacts ? There are only 5 voting days left. We now desperately need votes. I thought that we could win it too.
The easy way to vote is to go to:
http://communityforce.rbs.co.uk/project/387
That takes you right to our spot. Then you just register and vote for Greyhound Rescue Fife. It only takes a minute.

Think not because you hear no sound
My cries no listening ears have found,
Or that because you close your eyes
No ghastly scenes can then arise -
Another hand may use the knife
But ‘tis for you I lose my life -
Craving my flesh, how can you claim
Immunity from guilt and shame?

so if you haven't voted yet please do so and please pass on to all your contacts for maximum votes!
Please see our original appeal below with full instructions on how to make your all important vote.
Many thanks

Hi Helen,

As you may know I run the website for Greyhound Rescue Fife; www.greyhoundrescuefife.com It is a wonderful rescue group that was founded by Celia and Jimmy Fernie in 2005. Since then they have found forever homes for over 500 ex-racing greyhounds. Jimmy is well over 80 years of age and along with his wife Celia, he spends 7 days a week at the kennels every single week of the year, walking and caring for over 40 greyhounds.

Well, GRF have applied for a grant from RBS Community Force to have a pipeline for water laid underground to the kennels. Last year the water supply froze and for over 30 days Jimmy and his volunteers had to carry buckets of water from a nearby house. To obtain this grant GRF needs hundreds of votes to beat lots of competing charities and this is why I am writing to you now. Would it be possible to put an appeal out to your contacts asking them to go to the RBS website and vote for Greyhound Rescue Fife. The RBS website isn't a very user friendly one in my opinion, and you have to register before you can vote, but it would make such a difference if only they could win and get their water supply. This is the procedure to vote.

Go to http://communityforce.rbs.co.uk Click register at the top right. This takes you to a page where you enter your details and register and then they send you an email to confirm your registration. Click the link in the email and it takes you back to the RBS site. Click "Log in" at the top right and then Click Projects at the top left of the screen. Put the postcode KY13 9JY in the box on the left and click"list" just above. This will take you directly to the GRF project. Click "read more" and then finally you get to the screen where you can cast your vote. Put a tick in the box to accept the terms and conditions and the click VOTE. Wow, what a procedure. The final screen with thank you for you vote and remind you that you have two more votes to cast. Please, DO NOT use these two votes to vote for anyone else as this will just detract from the GRF one.
Thank you
John
Liebe Grüße
