Dead dog found in dustbin

AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after the body of a greyhound was found
dumped in a bin.

The RSPCA is looking for witnesses after the body was found on February 23
in a dustbin on Arlington Way in Thetford.

The dog was named Kerry and was described as being five-years-old, with a
black and white coat.

RSPCA Inspector Nicola Thorne said: "This dog was just skin and bone - it
was horrifying, she was so emaciated.

"I would appeal to anyone who has any information regarding this dog, or may
know her last known address.

"I am particularly interested to hear from anyone in the St Mary's Crescent
or Bury Road area of Thetford."

The dog was found wrapped in a curtain and a bed sheet.

The bin it was in was not owned by an address in Arlington Way.

Eine Untersuchung wurde eingeleitet, nachdem der Körper von einer Greyhoundhündin in einem Mülleimer gefunden wurde.

Die RSPCA sucht nun nach Zeugen, nachdem der Körper des Grey Hündin am 23.02. in einem Mülleimer auf dem Arlington Weg in Thetford gefunden wurde.
Der Hündin wurde Kerry genannt und wurde auf ca. fünf Jahre geschätzt, sie hatte ein schwarz-weißes Fell.

RSPCA Inspector Nicola Thorne sagte: "Diese Hündin war nur noch Haut und Knochen – es war entsetzlich, sie war so abgemagert.

"Ich appeliere an jedem, der irgendwelche Informationen über dieser Hündin hat oder ihre letzte bekannte Adresse kennt.

"Ich bin besonders an Informationen interessiert, von Menschen in der St. Mary 's Crescent oder Bury Road Gegend von Thetford. "

Die Hündin wurde eingewickelt in einen Vorhang und ein Bettlaken gefunden.

Der Behälter in der sie gefunden wurde gehört nicht zu einer Adresse im Arlington Way.

Following the discovery of a dead emaciated female greyhound - the RSPCA are appealing to members of the public who were in the vicinity of Thetford on February 23rd to come forward with any information.


The body was discovered by a local resident who had become suspicious after the bin had been left unclaimed in Arlington Way Thetford - less than 15 miles from Mildenhall dog track.


No one from the street owned the bin and when the resident looked inside - they made the gruesome discovery.






The RSPCA have tracked the previous owner through her microchip- establishing her name was Kerry - but are still hunting the person who actually dumped the dog.


Kerry was five years old - black with a white chest and wearing a yellow collar with her name on it. She was wrapped in a curtain and bed sheet and the bin also contained some Christmas wrapping paper patterned with blue snowmen and a sticky label with a name written on it.






RSPCA inspector Nicola Thorne said "This dog was just skin and bone - it was horrifying - she was so emaciated.


I am appalled that someone could let her get into such a state and when the poor dog died - they just dumped her like a piece of rubbish.


I am following up on a number of enquires but I would appeal to anyone who has any information regarding this dog or may know her last known address. I am particularly interested to hear from anyone in the St Mary's Crescent or Berry Road area of Thetford"


The bin has been taken away for forensic examination by the police. The RSPCA hope to identify the area Kerry was living and the owner of the bin and anyone with information is urged to contact the RSPCA cruelty line on 0300 1234 999

Nach der Entdeckung eines toten, ausgezehrten Greyhound-Mädchens, bittet die RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – königliche Gesellschaft zum Schutz der Tiere vor Missbrauch) die Öffentlichkeit um Informationen zu Beobachtungen, die am 23. Februar in der Nachbarschaft von Thetford gemacht wurden.

Der Körper wurde von einem Anwohner entdeckt, dem der anscheinend besitzerlose Behälter auf dem Arlington Way in Thetford – weniger als 15 Meilen von der Mildenhall Hunderennbahn entfernt – aufgefallen war.

Der Müllbehälter gehörte niemandem aus der Straße und als der Anwohner ihn öffnete – machten er die grausame Entdeckung.
Die RSPCA hat zwar den früheren Besitzer mit Hilfe des Mircochips aufgespührt, anhand dessen auch der Name Kerry verifiziert wurde, jagt aber immer noch die Person, die den Hund dort abgelegt hat.

Kerry war fünf Jahre alt –schwarz mit weißer Brust und trug ein gelbes Halsband mit ihrem Namen. Sie war in einen Vorhang und ein Bettlaken gewickelt und der Abfallbehälter enthielt Weihnachtspapier mit blauen Schneemännern und einem Anhänger mit einem Namen darauf.


RSPCA Inspektor Nicola Thorne sagte "Dieser Hund war nur noch Haut und Knochen – es war entsetzlich – sie war so abgemagert.

Ich bin entsetzt, dass jemand ihr so etwas angetan hat und als der arme Hund starb, ihn wie ein Stück Müll einfach weggeworfen hat.

Ich verfolge noch eine Anzahl von Hinweisen, möchte aber dennoch an die Öffentlichkeit appellieren, dass jeder, der irgendwelche Informationen bezüglich dieses Hundes besitzt, oder ihre letzte bekannte Adresse kennt, sich zu melden. Ich bin insbesondere interessiert an Angaben aus der St Mary's Crescent oder Berry Road in Thetford"

Der Abfallbehälter wurde für weitere forensische Untersuchungen durch die Polizei mitgenommen. Die RSPCA hofft nun, die Gegend, wo Kerry zuletzt gelebt hat und den Besitzer des Behälters identifizieren zu können und bittet jeden, der etwas hierzu sagen kann, sich telefonisch bei der RSPCA Missbrauchshotline zu melden.
