unaaceptable and what makes it even worse is that this is fundraising for a
church!

so they can see the appalling plight of the racing greyhound and ask them to
stop the auction of any animals not only is it morally wrong to do this but
animals can often get into the wrong hands and end up having a life of
misery!

MESSAGE FROM GREYHOUND ACTION IRELAND
A 17 month old greyhound girl is being auctioned in Ireland as part of an
antique auction to raise money for a church! The auction is being advertised
online on a UK/worldwide antique auction site. Dogs and cats shouldn't be
purchased on a whim, the result of a "caught up in the moment" bid during
the excitement of an auction, even if the auction is for a charitable,
community-oriented purpose. Please ask Sheppards Auction House in Ireland
(details below) to abandon this practice, and adopt a practise of refusing
to auction sentient beings. A greyhound is a particularly sensitive gentle
dog that requires suitable conditions as any dog does, it shouldn’t be put
at the mercy of whichever person wins the bid. Other online sale sites have
refused to accept animals and to use them as if they were inanimate objects.

NO ANIMALS SHOULD BE USED AS A FUNDRAISING PLOY.
