A rescued greyhound who ran away from her Tennessee foster home has been found after spending five years in the wild as a stray. WSMV's Heather Hourigan reports.

Cassie is doing well considering all she went through!! She is just now having to go on the heart medication after the damage from the severe heartworms. Here is the most recent update from Cathy, who fostered her and adopted her...
Just wanted to give you all an update on Cassie. she had to spend a couple days at the emergency vet and had a bunch of tests done on her heart. The heartworms that she had when she was running wild have damaged her heart and she had a very bad arrhythmia that they could not manage. She has been put on two different medications and she is doing better but we'll have to go back in a couple of weeks and do some more heart tests. just thought you might want to know how the girl is doing she's 10 and a half now and her heart is starting to have issues because of the heartworms.
