Subject: Flog it

I am dismayed to report that the popular B.B.C. afternoon antiques programme
'Flog it' has recently been used to promote greyhound racing on two
occasions. This show travels around the Country assessing antiques and
putting them into auction on behalf of the public. This show takes a break
from antiques mid way, and visits places of interest in the area that happen
to be in.

Several weeks ago the show's presenter Paul Martin visited a greyhound
racing track and promoted " the sport" as a fun day out for all the family.
I protested the programme by email, and just got an automated reply thanking
me for my comments. I explained to them the darker side of greyhound racing.

To make matters worse Paul Martin the presenter visited what was clearly a
flapper track on yesterday's show and again promoted greyhound racing as a
fun day out for the family. I again protested to the B.B.C this time
explaining much more fully the darker side of this "sport". All I got was
another email thanking me for my comments.

Is it not a disgrace that a major media organisation such as the B.B.C. is
promoting greyhound racing? If you feel as I do please register your disgust
to flogit@bbc.co.uk for the attention of Paul Martin. Please be polite in
your comments.

Thank you
Paul Grant
